Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

This skateboard shop is located in a residential neighborhood, and the daily noise has become a serious concern for nearby residents. Every afternoon and evening there are constant loud banging, scraping, and grinding sounds from skateboarding directly outside the storefront. The repeated impact noise from skateboard wheels on the pavement echoes through nearby homes and apartments. Many families in this area work from home or have young children, and the ongoing disturbance has significantly affected our ability to rest and concentrate. While supporting local businesses is important, the shop should take responsibility for managing activity outside the premises and consider reasonable noise control measures to reduce the impact on the surrounding community.

I had a terrible experience at this skate shop and would strongly advise others to think twice before shopping here. The owner, Brian, was incredibly arrogant—when I asked about specific products, he was dismissive and outright rude. Despite being a dealer for a certain brand, he couldn’t be bothered to provide any useful information or even basic customer service. To make matters worse, the sales assistant was overly intrusive, repeatedly asking what I did for a living (which felt completely irrelevant and invasive). It became obvious they were sizing me up to push a more expensive purchase. The whole interaction was aggressive and uncomfortable. Between the owner’s condescending attitude and the assistant’s pushy sales tactics, this was one of the worst retail experiences I’ve had. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere.

8Five2 is a hidden gem full of skateboard parts and streetwear Products: They have a wide variety of decks to choose from such as Powell-Peralta among many others For non-skateboarding fans, they also feature excellent streetwear from their in-house brand and more Staff: Their staff was accommodating despite the language barrier. I'm more familiar with English but the Staff are more fluent in Cantonese. However they spoke enough English to help with my transaction for an XL shirt :) Location: The in-house brand had a smaller selection in this store. I think the Mongkok location probably has more merch but there is something homey about the Causeway Bay location. Do be warned though that the steps are a little steep for the Causeway Bay location so just a heads up when going up the narrow hallway It's not very obvious at first, but 8Five2 is surprisingly within the vicinity of the World Trade Centre. The store is a hidden gem in the area for lifestyle wear and skateboards Layout: The store is split into two rooms The main store with the cashier is focused on Skateboards and their in-house brand of shirts while the other room is filled with shirts from Vans, Girl, Spitfire, Thr

Clean, well kept shop. Has so many skate clothes, bearings trucks etc. And decks. Prices are quite moderate through heading to the more expensive end.
