Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

This business does not fit neatly into any of our main categories, which often happens when several kinds of work share one roof or when it offers a service that is rare in the area. The details below come from public sources and from what the business says about itself; contact it directly to confirm what it offers now, what it costs, how to book and whether anything has changed since the details were last updated.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 12:00–23:00, Sat 12:00–24:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 5595 8530. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work.

At 4.0 out of 5 on Google (110 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Very kind owner with a very chill and retro aesthetic vibes of a cafe. The Carbonara and Bolognese were satisfying; the Rose Latte and Rose shakerato (black coffee) were very smooth. Definitely would come back again.

Slightly expensive but justified. Food is delicious, atmosphere and music great, service attentive. They brought out two plates for us even though we didn’t ask. Rare these days.

Begin Coffee is truly a hidden gem in Mongkok. It takes a little effort to find - tucked away in a small alley, and then four floors up - but that’s part of the charm. Once you get there, you’re rewarded with a cozy, cute space that feels worlds away from the busy streets below. They have both indoor seating and a small terrace, so you can choose between a relaxed café vibe or some fresh air. The coffee is excellent, rich, smooth and clearly made with care. It’s the kind of spot you’ll want to bring a friend to impress them with your “secret café” discovery. Definitely worth the hunt if you’re in the area!

Tucked away in a gem✨👽, right between Mongkok and Yau Ma Tei, there's a charming cafe on the 4th floor that I adore. 💛✨ The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a super cool, vintage spot that I've visited about four times already. Whether alone or with friends, it's the perfect place to unwind. Their coffee is really good, and they also serve cocktails, transforming into more of a bar setting at night. The decor has a lovely Japanese cafe vibe, and the staff are friendly and sweet. I can't wait to visit this gem again!✨✨

Tucked away upstairs in an old building yet spacious and well designed space in an unexpected location. The mood is peaceful and relaxing; the playlist was mostly atmospheric ambient stuff and at one point the staff started playing the guitar. So soothing and unexpected to hear nice live music in a quiet afternoon. The pasta and izakaya style snacks on the menu look great and there are a few cocktails and beer options available in addition to coffee. Prices are expensive not only for the area but in general; cup of coffee ran me $65 and unfortunately it was very underextracted : (
