The Tasty Palate 2 months ago

This classic traditional dessert completely hit the spot! The black sesame-filled mochi ball blew me away from the very first bite—it was absolutely divine. The syrup had a subtle floral note that kept it light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet.

Great Hong Kong dessert place with modern decoration

This dessert spot in Mong Kok serves exactly what you’d expect from a typical summer dessert place in the area — nothing more, nothing less. The mango pudding was decent: smooth, refreshing, with a decent mango flavor that wasn’t overly sweet. The hot coconut (likely the warm coconut milk pudding or similar) was also enjoyable, comforting and nicely done. Both were good for a quick sweet fix on a hot day, but they didn’t wow me or stand out from the many other similar places nearby. The rest of the menu felt pretty standard and unremarkable. Portions were average, prices were typical for Mong Kok, and the overall experience was just okay. It’s a convenient spot if you’re craving something sweet while wandering around, but there’s nothing here that would make me go out of my way to return or recommend it strongly to friends. Solid but forgettable — fine for a casual stop, but not memorable.

It’s very unique taste. For the first time I tried this dessert. I kind of liked it. Coconut shell is so cute and flesh is so tender.
