About Cyclingtown
We are Cyclingtown, service for the bike
Cyclingtown is a bike shop in Kennedy Town, Central and Western, at 香港島堅尼地城吉席街17-19號昌輝大廈地下17舖. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Hong Kong's cycle tracks are mostly in the New Territories and city roads are busy; ask about servicing and accessories when buying a bike.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon 11:00–18:00, Tue closed, Wed–Thu 11:00–19:00, Fri 11:00–18:00, Sat–Sun 11:00–19:00. That makes 6 working days a week. It also opens on Sunday, though hours may differ on public holidays. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 5578 3330; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work. More information is on its website, cyclingtown.hk.
It has a Google rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 14 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.
Kennedy Town is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Octopus works on the MTR, buses, minibuses, ferries and trams; heading to Kennedy Town, check the street map inside the MTR station to find the nearest exit.

Mechanic is helpful, professional and knowledgeable, he finished stem cutting and drivetrain cleaning within an hour even when there’s several bikes waiting to be assembled. Prices are transparent and reasonable.

Very closely shop, have most of the parts I need for bike, very reasonable price

Very reasonably priced and don’t try to upsell or harass you like other bike outfits nearby. They listened to exactly what I wanted, did that and that alone. They returned upgraded parts to me. They’ve managed quick turnaround for fixes too.

I can't recommend. I visited to get a shifting issue resolved. After, the shifting issues reappeared, just less aggressively.

I wish this place had good service but they just don't care. I've taken my bike to this place 3 times now and the quality of their bike mechanics is just really lacking. Whenever I bring my bike here the bike is just never perfect when I get it back. At least it's cheap but just wish they actually did a good job instead of rushing it or telling me there is nothing wrong with the bike when there clearly is.
