Tai Kok Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Octopus works on the MTR, buses, minibuses, ferries and trams; heading to Tai Kok Tsui, check the street map inside the MTR station to find the nearest exit.

Air-conditioned wet market in the Tai Kok Tsui neighborhood. - Ground floor: fresh fish, pork, live/fresh chicken, beef, frozen foods. - First floor: fresh vegetables and fruits, dry chinese herbs and cooking ingredients. - Some vendors are kind, while some vendors are rude if you ask them some question. If you dont want to get rude customer service, I just go back to the vendors who are kind and helpful. Overall, it is a good place to get your daily groceries.

Great wetmarket with fresh fruit and veg and friendly vendors. The fruit stall in the back corner (Back wall from the escalator you enter from) is amazing, they really know their stuff. All of the vendors are helpful and kind, even if you don’t know Cantonese (I’m learning but not good enough to try a conversation yet).

Once you enter the market your nose will be flooded with amazing aromas of fruits and slices. The ambience is full of people chatting and merchants advertising their sweetest foods. On the edge of the market you find fresh fish an meat which are carefully prepared by experts of their craft. A very pleasant experience if you are keen on diving deep into Hong Kong's amazing culture.
