Extremely disappointing experience with the operations and customer service team at Tai Tam Scout Centre. As someone who works in youth programs and outdoor education, I expect at the very least a baseline of professionalism, empathy, and common sense — all of which were completely lacking here. Communication was cold, rigid, and entirely unaccommodating, even in situations where a little flexibility or human understanding would have gone a long way. It felt like the team was more concerned about enforcing rules than actually supporting people or creating a positive experience. The operational process was frustrating and unnecessarily difficult — almost like they go out of their way to make things harder for guests. For a place meant to support youth development and community engagement, the lack of heart in their approach is shocking. Would not recommend working with them if you value clear communication, collaboration, or even basic customer respect.

This was one of the nicer dorms I've stayed in for school camp. The bathrooms are clean. There is a lack of bugs in the rooms. The grounds are versatile for many different uses. They are secure to where you don't have to worry about your students leaving the grounds or unwanted people entering. The grounds and buildings are well kept. The area surrounding the centre is beautiful and there is easy access to hiking.
