德興五金建材有限公司

德興五金建材有限公司, a hardware shop in North Point, Eastern District, is at 香港島北角琴行街2B號. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.

It pays to compare prices before you buy and to check that the price shown includes everything. Octopus, credit cards, FPS and e-wallets work in most shops, though small ones may be cash only or set a minimum for cards; weekend and public-holiday afternoons are busiest, so weekday daytime is better for a relaxed browse. Hardware shops cluster in older street-level shops; bring measurements or a photo so staff can match the part.

Opening hours: Mon–Sat 08:30–18:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. It is closed on Sundays, which is not unusual for a small shop, although malls and chain stores open all week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2561 0889. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.

It has a Google rating of 3.5 out of 5 from 11 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.

North Point is part of the Eastern District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. In North Point the trams run right through the stalls of Chun Yeung Street market, and the area has many long-standing Fujianese and Shanghainese shops.
