About 40% of Hong Kong's land is country park or special area, and hiking trails run through every district. Before a hike or a beach day check the Hong Kong Observatory forecast and warnings, bring enough water, sun protection and a charged phone, and stay on the trail; the country parks ask visitors to take their litter home. In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.

Google shows it as open around the clock; any changes on public holidays or in severe weather are announced by the business itself. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has. Its website is hfc.org.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Customers give it an average of 4.4 out of 5 on Google (799 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Found this interesting spot out of nowhere! We were walking randomly in Causeway Bay and we accidentally saw this spot adjacent to Victoria Park. There feels more like urban waterfront instead of traditional park where is usually covered with trees and plantations. We spotted the sunset and took a calm stroll there. The view at night is simply amazing! However, the park is slightly away from the major public transportation, so the easiest way to get there is to first take MTR to Fortress Hill station and take a short walk through Oil Street or King's Road then Watson Street to the park. If you have more time to spare, another way to get there is to first take MTR to Causeway Bay station, walk through Victoria Park then Victoria Park North Pavilion, cross the stoplight where you can see the fire station, then keep walking till you see the park.

Nice place to visit. Good photo spot of Hong Kong bay. They are long walk way beside the bay. You can walk from here to North point pier. Really good place to walk, exercise and observe Hong Kong bay. I came here by walk from MTR Tin Hua. Love this path of walk. Enjoy !

East Coast Park Precinct (東岸公園主題區) is a really nice spot to slow down and enjoy the harbour view. The waterfront atmosphere is calm and open, and it’s perfect for a relaxing walk, taking photos, or simply sitting and watching the boats and the city skyline. It feels clean, spacious, and has a great “chill” vibe—especially around sunset. That said, it’s a bit far compared to other popular areas, and there aren’t many facilities nearby, so it’s best to come prepared (water, snacks, etc.). Also, because there isn’t much green tree cover, it can get quite sunny and hot during the day. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy the sea breeze and views—ideal if you want a peaceful harbour-side break and don’t mind a simpler setup.
