At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (220 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Siu Sai Wan is part of the Eastern District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Hong Kong summers are hot and humid, and typhoons and rainstorms come mostly in summer and autumn; when the Observatory issues signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning, many businesses close until it is lifted.

Perfect spot for camping, rock climbing, hiking and staying away from city hustle. Take a ferry either from Sai Wan Ho or Sam Ka Tsuen(Yau Tong) to the Tung Lung Chau island. It takes a 40 minutes ride via ferry to reach the island. There are two stops on the island. The first stop is recommended for rock climbing, hiking etc. whereas second stop is highly recommended for camping. If you have a lot of items, you can bring a trolley instead of carrying on hand. There are restaurants which also sell water and other cold/hot drinks. The price is economic. If you like BBQ, the campsite also has BBQ fire pit. Water for doing dishes and washroom are on the campsite. I've been there twice so far and it has been an amazing experience. Note: the ferry only operates during weekends and public holidays. You have to pay two way ticket price when leaving for Tung Lung Chau.

You need to take a boat to the island. I board from Yau Tong. Round ticket is about hkd45 and you need to buy using octopus card as they use the card number as identification. And it only open on weekend and public holiday. There are few shop on the island, so you could buy necessity or just dine there. Camp site has toilet and running water, not safe for drinking though. Few barbeque site, on first come first serve. Could be crowded or very crowded. So come early. Don throw your rubbish in the bin. Hang on tree and take it with you when you leave. There are wild board that will come at night to ravage the bin. All in all, if you don mind the crowd, it's a nice camping site.

It's a big area to do camping. It's nice to hear the sound of wave at the night. However, sometimes it's a little bit windy.
