A trusted and really HK local bank, which provides a good service to the people. The head office always provides high customer service, though some branches are understaffed.

I have been banking with BEA for the last 30+ years. Though some branches were low on staff and the queue was long waiting for counter service, the Head Office always provide excellent and fast service for the customers. The bank has always been trustworthy and reliable.

Went to reactivate my existing account and got accused by the teller of being an illegal resident and refused service because I didn't provide my passport and visa (which should already be on file). Completely rude and unprofessional. Went to a branch office and got it sorted out in 5 minutes with no need to prove my residency besides just hkid. Will just walk further next time and avoid this farce.

Headquarters for a major bank... And in the middle of a working day there are only two working cashier's.... With a long queue of people waiting... Hate to see what it's like at the smaller branches if this is their flagship
