Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Central is Hong Kong's financial and business heart; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links the streets up the hill, Lan Kwai Fong and SoHo come alive at night, and the Central piers serve the Outlying Islands.

The best tofa! Must try the ginger tofa… very soft. Best to takeaway but they also have limited seats inside. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Had the mango tofu pudding which was nice. Mango was super delicious, properly ripe and sweet and dark orange. The tofu fa was a good texture, wasn’t very sweet which is catered to Hong Kong style/taste so we added some rose sugar which was on the counter. I saw reviews about the owner being really rude but he was absolutely fine as we were polite from the start. He’s just a man of few words and expression!

I love the loud, impatience and HK-brashness of local Aunties and Uncles in HK—characteristics I haven’t found anywhere else, which makes it fun and invigorating when visiting HK. But, the guy behind the counter in this hole in the wall sure took the cut for taking the life and fun out of my visit to this local dessert shop. No greetings. No smiles. Just a stoic faced human devoid of feelings. Is that truly possible? “You want this, or you want that?” The man asked. I was finding it hard to decide. He looked through me. No sound from him. I was expecting a recommendation. I pointed. “That will cost you another HKD 20.” He rung up the tab, took the money, and turned away to prepare the dessert. No passion. Just plonk, plonk, plonk… dropping the different ingredients into the paper bowl, packed my dessert, and passed it to me. No thank you. He simply went back to his business. All under 3mins! 😂😂😂 Well, if you believe your food is reminiscent of the person who prepared it, then that was how my dessert looked and tasted like. The 豆花 or dou hua, with taro balls, red beans, green beans, and some dates I added, was lacklustre and left a sourish aftertaste. The dou h

Honestly, their beancurd isn’t bad at all — the pistachio paste is rich and creamy, and it pairs nicely with the silky beancurd. However, the boss’s attitude was one of the worst we have encountered in Hong Kong. He showed zero warmth, didn’t smile, and when we asked about his signature dishes, he just told us to look at the wall menu (which had 10+ options — not helpful at all). When our card got declined once, he responded in a really impatient and annoyed tone, looking like he was completely done with life. Clearly, customer service isn’t a priority here. I rarely deduct points for service, but this time I had to. If you don’t mind poor service but want to try decent food, go ahead. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it — the food isn’t good enough to make up for that kind of attitude.

A super small shop with maximum of 6 seats. You get the classic HK service but that’s not what you’re here for anyways. A super nice, light and quick desert. The mango combo tasted sweet and was perfect for a quick refreshment.
