飛帆汽車服務公司

飛帆汽車服務公司, a car repair garage in Kennedy Town, Central and Western, is at 香港島堅尼地城堅彌地城新海旁9號. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted.

In Hong Kong, private cars aged six years or more must pass an annual roadworthiness examination at a Transport Department designated car testing centre before their licence is renewed, and every vehicle needs third-party insurance. Ask for a quote before repairs, check whether parts are original or aftermarket and how long the warranty is, and keep the invoice. If your car is under warranty, ask whether servicing outside the dealer network affects it.

Opening hours: Mon–Sat 09:00–20:00, Sun closed. It is open 6 days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. You can call 2818 9313; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. More information is on its website, shops.car1.hk.

At 4.2 out of 5 on Google (19 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.

Kennedy Town is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Hong Kong summers are hot and humid, and typhoons and rainstorms come mostly in summer and autumn; when the Observatory issues signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning, many businesses close until it is lifted.
