In Hong Kong, dogs aged five months or more must be licensed, vaccinated against rabies and microchipped, which is handled by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department. Grooming and pet boarding usually need booking, and boarding may require vaccination records; places fill up before festivals and long weekends, so plan ahead.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I understand that different cultures may have varying views on pet grooming — in some places, it’s all about the dog’s outward appearance. But in reality, grooming is not just about a quick transformation. Long-term care and maintenance are just as, if not more, important for a dog’s health and comfort. What I really appreciate about this place is the transparency. Prices are clearly listed, and the owner always explains the cost upfront before any service begins. There are no hidden charges, and no surprises. Some pet owners might expect extras for free or hope to negotiate after the fact, but the truth is — if it’s included, it’s done thoroughly; if it’s not, it won’t be. It’s about fairness and consistency. The owner maintains professional standards, not just to run a good business, but to ensure every dog receives proper care, not shortcuts. Honestly, it’s refreshing to find someone who’s firm, honest, and takes both their job and your pet seriously. A great experience all around.

I can't say enough good things about my favorite pet groomer! They always treat my dogs so well, and my pup absolutely loves going there. The waiting area is like a playground, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. Every time, they do their best to make my dog look fantastic! Highly recommend their services to all pet owners!

Absolutely love this grooming shop! The owner is not only skilled and professional, but also incredibly responsible and full of genuine care for the dogs. The grooming techniques are top-notch — that goes without saying — but what really stands out is the attention given to the dogs’ mental well-being, not just their appearance. It’s rare to find someone who treats every dog like their own, taking time to understand each pet’s needs and emotions. Some pet owners might not be ready to hear honest advice for the sake of their dog’s long-term health — but that’s a reflection on them, not the groomer. If your ego is more fragile than your pet’s coat, maybe it’s time for some self-reflection. Highly recommended for pet lovers who truly care. Your dog will be in the best hands here!

This place is a complete scam – I will never go back and strongly advise others to avoid it. The staff is unfriendly, and they tried to charge me an extra 100 HKD just because my dog wasn’t brushed beforehand. Isn’t that the groomer’s job? I’m already paying 700 HKD — the least they could do is brush my dog. It’s absurd. Look it up: it’s the groomer’s responsibility to detangle a dog’s coat, not the owner’s. I’ve since found a much better grooming salon called Barkyard at Hopewell Centre. They offer better services at more reasonable prices, plus you can enjoy a coffee and let your dog socialize with others. Much better experience overall.
