富興找換 FOO HING EXCHANGE is a money changer, lender or pawnshop in Sheung Wan, Central and Western, at 香港島上環干諾道中122號海港商業大廈地下A鋪. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.

Money changers in Hong Kong need a Money Service Operator licence from Customs and Excise, money lenders a licence under the Money Lenders Ordinance and pawnshops a pawnbroker's licence. The law caps the effective annual interest rate on loans at 48%; compare rates and all fees before borrowing and keep the contract, and compare exchange rates and fees before changing money. Before changing money, check whether the displayed rate is buying or selling and whether there is a fee, count your cash and ask for a receipt.

No opening hours have been published here yet; the Google Maps link on this page shows the latest details. Bear in mind that many small shops close over Lunar New Year and may not open while a typhoon or black rainstorm warning is in force. You can call 2780 0555; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

It shows 3.0 out of 5 on Google, but from only 2 reviews, so treat it as a first impression rather than a verdict.

Sheung Wan is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Sheung Wan's Des Voeux Road West and Bonham Strand West are known for dried seafood, ginseng and herbal shops, which are busiest before Lunar New Year.
