富華西藥房

富華西藥房 is a pharmacy in Sham Shui Po, at 九龍元洲桂林街141號玉成樓. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.

In Hong Kong a dispensary (藥房, an Authorized Seller of Poisons) must employ a registered pharmacist, some medicines can only be sold under the pharmacist's supervision, and it usually displays an "Rx" sign; a medicine company (藥行) may only sell less tightly controlled medicines. Prescription drugs need a doctor's prescription, and the pharmacist can explain dosage and side effects.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:00–20:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2387 6282. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.

Customers give it an average of 4.6 out of 5 on Google (5 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.
