Hair, beauty and massage salons are best booked ahead, especially at weekends and before festivals such as Lunar New Year. Ask for the price before you start, as some treatments cost more depending on hair length or products; read the terms carefully before buying a prepaid package and consider whether the shop is likely to stay in business. The weeks before Lunar New Year are the busiest for salons, as many people traditionally get a haircut before the new year, so book early.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 10:00–21:30. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 5935 5605; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. It is a mobile number, and many local businesses also answer enquiries on WhatsApp. More information is on its website, haircuthk.com.

It has a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 354 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Attitude was good but the haircut was not. I got a basic haircut to thin layers and trim ends. The hair ends were very uneven in length and my hair looked worse for wear with minor hairs flying out. Hope the hairdresser can train up their skills more because I would be ashamed giving someone else this haircut.

I had an incredible experience here and cannot recommend this place enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly receptionist and instantly felt a warm, welcoming vibe. The entire team is wonderful, but a massive shoutout goes to Marco. Marco is fantastic! He has an amazing character and brings such a positive energy to the salon. Not only is he incredibly friendly, but his knowledge of hair and products is second to none. He took the time to give me invaluable advice and even taught me exactly how to style my own hair at home. The salon itself has a wonderful quiet, chill, and perfectly clean atmosphere. If you are looking for excellent service, a welcoming environment, and a team that genuinely cares, this is the place to go. I will definitely be back!

Do not go here. There are better places nearby with better value for your money. I only decided to try this place because I was nearby and they said they had availability when I booked. When I went at my appointment time, I was told it would be a 45-60 minute wait. They were clearly overbooked and should not have taken any appointments. Yet before I could walk out, they rushed me in to wash my hair and found a stylist who then cut my hair extremely fast and uneven. They trimmed a few inches off my ends, didn't section my hair while cutting, and blowdried without any styling. When they were finished, I asked for a few more layers and they told me it doesn't suit me and then rushed me to pay. I also need to mention that my stylist dropped the comb on the floor and put it back onto my head, and their capes are not waterproof so my shoulders were still wet from the hair wash when I left. I know I went two weeks before CNY but they also shouldn't have overbooked because when I left there were lots of people with appointments queuing for 45+ mins.

We looked up and walked into this place by chance. Both stylist who worked on the boys (Andrew and Fiona) were super attentive and kept checking in with both the kids and parents to make sure we were all feeling okay about the boys’ haircuts. The pricing was also extremely fair. The boys’ haircuts turned out so well, my husband decided to get a haircut too. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to anybody interested in a great haircut, at a good price. Thank you both for the awesome cuts.

Went for a haircut at Prince Edward Goody Salon today. The shop was decent. Hair washing, blowing and cutting services were good. I showed the barber a photo of the haircut i want and he managed to do it. He even taught me how to shape my hair everyday by myself. The washing and blowing didnt hurt at all and were comfortable. Price was $270. Environment was clean and nice with private corners. There were pain relieving services upstairs too.
