When choosing a school or kindergarten, look at the school profiles, curriculum and fees on the Education Bureau's website and note open days and application dates. Primary One places are allocated through the Primary One Admission System and Secondary One places through the Secondary School Places Allocation System; before applying for a K1 kindergarten place you need a Registration Certificate for Kindergarten Admission. The school year generally runs from September to July.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 07:00–18:00, Sat 07:00–12:00, Sun closed. That makes 6 working days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. There is no Google rating yet. That is common for new and smaller businesses and says nothing about quality either way; if you visit, an honest review will help the next person choosing.

Ngau Tau Kok is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. Hong Kong summers are hot and humid, and typhoons and rainstorms come mostly in summer and autumn; when the Observatory issues signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning, many businesses close until it is lifted.
