Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

This bakery is popular and had so many customers. Not much English so it's a lot of pointing at what you want. Love the savoury cookies in HK. Never had them before. They had bbq pork cookies and wow! Wish I bought 10 more! The mango cake was fresh and fluffy and creamy and the black forest the same. Not overly sweet which I appreciate in Asian desserts.

Classic no frills Hong Kong style bakery. Full of all your favourites, as well as some new takes on flavours. One of the only bakeries open early around the area. Nothing over $10HKD, and the multibuy deal on the egg tarts is excellent. Accepts Octopus card or cash only.

Their 菠蘿包 (pineapple bun) is the best in town and only cost hkd5.5 each. I ate the bun right away and broughtvtwo more for my family.

The best biscuit crust egg tarts I’ve ever had in my life hands down. The crust is salted and very buttery, complimenting the egg custard perfectly. Egg tarts are so popular that they’re most likely fresh out of the oven and served warm. It’s hard to find biscuit crust egg tarts and most biscuit crust egg tarts have crust that is too sweet, undercooked or soggy. The ones from red cherry are baked to perfection. So glad I randomly checked this place out on our trip to buy toys! Edited to add that I’m a Hong Kong local, so I’ve had my fair share of egg tarts from around the world.

The price is quite reasonable for a neighborhood bakery with this raisins scone is just around HK$6. However the texture is quite odd as it is not a firm and soft texture but a bit chewy instead. It is more like a bread with crispy outer crust. The staff is quite friendly though.
