When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 09:30–19:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2397 0668; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.
It has a Google rating of 4.1 out of 5 from 244 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.
Prince Edward is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Prince Edward is next to the Flower Market and the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden; the flower shops are busiest before Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day.

didn't realize such a cafe at the flower market, it's actually enclosed in a florist shop. it offers basic drinks and some cake, it's quite a nice place to stop by and take a quick rest.

This charming spot is half flower store and half cafe, creating a peaceful garden ambiance that is perfect for a slow afternoon. They mainly focus on cakes and do not offer much in terms of main meals. The Banana Cake was nice but could benefit from a stronger flavor, while the Lychee & Lemon Cream Cake felt a bit muted with only a very mild hint of lemon. The Dirty Coffee was standard. Overall, it's a great place to relax for the atmosphere, even if the food and drinks are relatively ordinary.

Tried this cute little coffee shop located inside the flower shop!! The decor is quite nice but however, their second floor is no longer available. There are some table and counter seats available and sits pretty comfortable! The latte was nice and the art was to standard! The long black I requested milk on the side was nice too. I also tried the sausage roll and the banana cake! Sausage roll was a bit more expensive than other coffee shops but tasted alright with a squirt of ketchup on the side. The banana cake was also alright but did have a bit of burnt on the edges. The total bill was just under $200 which was good to find a comfortable coffee place in the area! Their bakery display was nice and offered a great variety of pastries to pair with the coffee. However, we waited over 20mins for our order only to realized that they missed our order and they apologized right away and did their very best to catch up right away! Overall, it was a n alright experience and I would consider going back again next time I’m there buying flowers. If you drive, there’s a parking lot in the Mongkok Stadium which is a 5-min walk from the cafe and cost about $18 per half hour.

I have bought a few plants from Hay Fever, and two are still on the balcony of my apartment after more than 10 years. I love the ambience of the cafe, and the service is good. The cakes look delicious but a bit pricy. As I don’t have a sweet tooth, I didn’t try them but simply ordered a long black, which was truly disappointing, however. The price of $36 is reasonable, but its taste is worse than the Americano I pay $12.50 at McCafe. I couldn’t force myself to finish drinking it.

Hay Fever is a florist on Flower Market Road in Mongkok. They have a cafe in the back of their shop, which makes for a neat spot for coffee & cake after browsing the popular local flower market. Opening hours are 9am to 6pm, they have a fair number of tables in a floral, decorative seating area. They have a range of savoury bites and sweet desserts along with a fair range of coffee and non-coffee drinks. I recently had a good espresso macchiato and slice of chocolate layered cake, both of which tasted just fine, a nice afternoon coffee & cake break. Would gladly stop by again at this neat cafe at the Mongkok Flower Market. Note: There is another Cafe Hay Fever in Central on Wyndham Street with a similar florist setup with a cafe in the back.
