Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

VERY DISAPPOINTING experience at Citibank’s Causeway Bay branch. The branch appeared to have NO PROPER queuing or ticketing system in place. Customers were left sitting or standing around with little to no guidance from staff about where to wait or when they would be served. The entire process felt chaotic and disorganized. What was particularly frustrating was that people were able to walk up and claim they had arrived earlier, effectively cutting ahead of others. Without any clear system or staff actively managing the queue, there was no fair way to determine who was next. The STAFF were also NOT particularly helpful in assisting customers or providing direction, which only added to the confusion. For a major international bank, I expected a much more professional and organized customer service experience. Citibank should seriously review the management and customer flow at this branch. A basic queuing system and more proactive customer service would greatly improve the experience.

I was really disappointed by the customer service provided by the business executive Adam! I applied to open a citi plus account online, but my ID proof didn't come through. A bank staff called me to advise me to visit the branch in person and submit the proof in person and she even scheduled a time slot for me. When I visited the branch, Adam seemed clueless why I was here, and advised me that It took 50min to re-submit my application. The notice I got from the bank was that my information was saved, but the staff needed to log into the system to re-do my application and He actually struggled throughout the online submission process, kept asking assistance from his colleagues, further lengthened the application process. I asked Adam why he needed to re-do the process as my info was supposed to be saved in cloud. He answered impatiently as if I was so dumfounded , " It didn't come through, I am helping you to re-do it." The whole experience is AWFUL! It started with the failure of the app to approve my personal info, then it went to the disconnected communications between online-to-offline bank staffs; Then the clear instruction that the staff gave to the customers, how long

By far, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in Hongkong. Firstly, I made an appointment online at 10:00 AM. When I got there, they told me the waiting period was 30 minutes since he was helping another customer. It took him one hour to finalized his previous customer and another hour to help me. By the time the whole transaction was done, it took me 2 hours and some change to complete opening my new bank account. In the meantime, he didn't explain anything to me about their process. He left me sitting there for sometime without any explanation of what he needed or what he was going to do after I sat down and gave him my proper documentations. I began to ask him questions, which I thought is a natural process for any potential new account holder, but then he would dismiss my questions and say, "later." His demeanor made me feel like I was bothersome with my questions or that the way he asked me questions were suspicious and arrogant. He'd either give me some vague answer or not even answer me at all. One example is when he asked for my employer's phone number. I showed him the phone number on my phone and he scoffed when he saw it and said, "no mobile". So I
