The most bizarre retail experience of my life. First of all, the moment I walked in a staff member commenced trailing me in an extremely creepy, shuffling, sort of way, without speaking to me at all. Unclear if this is for “service” or anti-theft, however I suspect the latter due to the complete lack of the former. I ignored the discomfort as I was interested in a Comme des Garcons tshirt. As I have never worn this brand before, and was in a bricks and mortar retail store, naturally I asked to try it on. At this point I was advised (rudely, and as though the question was an affront) that I can only buy it, not try on. I put the shirts back and left. In the age of the internet, the only reason to go to a store is to try on clothing for the fit/receive service. On both fronts, you’d be better off shopping online than going to this place.

Terribly rude staff. I was wearing a Comme des Garcons T-shirt in size medium. I saw a long sleeve Comme des Garcons T-shirt at the store I wanted to buy. I picked up a medium when suddenly a sales girl starts talking to my friend in Cantonese yet refuses to knowledge me or try to communicate with me in English. She proceeded to use my friend as an interpreter to tell me I was a size small. Needless to say we went back and forth on the size so I was going to try them on when I was told I have to purchase both shirts first before I can try them on. I told the sales girl to hold out her arms then dumped all the clothing in her arms and walked out.

Terrible and rude service. I wanted to try a beanie and asked for other colours. Once they brought it out I put it on to try and the staff immediately shouted at me saying I can’t try the beanies. If I can’t try them on then he should have mentioned in the first place. He made such a big deal about it and blaming me? He even said you don’t need to try a beanie on, just place it near your head. The next day I went to the I.T store in Causeway Bay and the staff said I could try the beanies on. I made a purchase at the Causeway Bay store. Avoid the Harbour City store.

Extremely poor shopping experience. The shop assistants behaved in such a condescending manner that made me felt as if it were a blessing to customers that they would sell garments at all. If that’s the impression they would like customers have, then may God bless I.T Harbour City.
