Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

IF YOU ARE FEMALE BE CAREFUL WHILE SWIMMING HERE. Uncomfortable experiences with foreign men staring at and following young girls in the water at night. Female lifeguards seriously need to be hired so this behaviour can be reported and stopped better. The outdoor pool is good but somewhat crowded. The water can get very cold if you don't go in summer. Waterfall isn't always on.

Too many people not wearing slippers spreading their nail fungus and plantar warts. I don't really understand why slippers are NOT mandatory. It is basic hygienic rule.

If Kowloon Park is an underrated attraction in Hong Kong (I think it is), the KP Swimming Pool might be an underrated attraction in the park. On the one hand, it is a quality pool, indoor and outdoor, with the indoor serving the more serious swimmer and the outdoor more focused on pool frolicking (is that a phrase?). Most of the clientele are locals which gives you an outside the usual tourist track experience. The outdoor pool is plenty warm enough year round, has a nicely designed tropical feel with "rocks" and palm trees, and offers up astounding views of the surrounding skyscrapers and hotels. For a small fee, you can imagine you are living the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Locker rooms and showers are clean and well maintained as well. Pro Tip While in the park, be sure to see the flamingo pond and the free aviary. Perhaps pick up some McDonald's near the entrance to the pool area and a picnic in the park? The pool is open until 10:00PM and the park until midnight and like all parks in Hong Kong, WiFi is available, strong and free of charge.

The outdoor swimming pool doesn't open at some seasons, such as winter. When it's open, the swimming pool is beautiful. I love the decorations of the swimming pool, the rocks make the swimming pool feel like natural environment. You can watch across the bridge and see the swimming pool. There are also a clock to let you check the timing accurately when you go swimming. However, this swimming pool have tons of people when it opens, the good thing is it is huge enough to let many people swim. The bad thing is it's not very clean as there are so many people and kids.
