Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I have practiced here since 2008. Good experience overall. Training is systematic... Good Kihon training. Classes are divided into beginner, junior and senior classes. Junior and senior classes further divide into Kata and Kumite, you can choose which stream to focus. Highly recommend this place.

I had a great time practicing at the dojo. Sensei and senpai are very experienced and they truly understand the core of karate. I feel so warm and encouraged during practice. Love to meet new karatekas here!

Traditional dojo teaching karate in traditional ways. Here you can find karate not only as a sport but as a traditional form of martial arts. It is a good place to start karate for someone take it seriously. More importantly, here you can meet the best instructors in town.

Want to say first that I have NOT TRAINED at this dojo, but this is a review for anyone new to Karate and looking to join. I had a terrible experience here, after emailing and being told I was welcome to visit. I went with a friend who is also very interested in becoming a student, but we were extremely rudely received by the staff and even talked down to. It's nerve racking enough to start something new and walk in somewhere you don't know anyone, and to be treated in such an unwelcoming way is unacceptable for any business or dojo. We have no proper Karate attire, obviously, being new and having emailed stating this prior to going. Most dojos allow you to visit and observe, or try a class before joining. We again, obviously, did not know which was preferred by this dojo, which could have EASILY been communicated in an encouraging and welcoming way that they would prefer for us to observe a class first. However, upon arrival and explaining that we were told to come visit today, there were several men just discussing in Cantonese in front of us for several minutes before saying ANYTHING, followed by waving of hands for us to leave and pointing out that we were not dressed in prope
