冷氣通, an air-conditioning contractor in Sham Shui Po, is at 九龍深水埗長沙灣道212號, Kan Sha Mansion, 3/F. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. It is upstairs in a building, entered through the lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

Before hiring a contractor, describe the job clearly and ask for a written quotation listing the items, materials, timetable and payment stages; comparing two or three quotes is normal. For work in a flat, the building management office usually needs to be told and sets its own working hours, and the law restricts the use of powered equipment between 19:00 and 07:00 and on Sundays and public holidays. Summer is peak season for air-conditioner repairs and installation, so book cleaning and servicing in spring.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 08:00–24:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 6581 7673. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work. Its website is pwd90.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Google shows 1.0 out of 5 based on 1 review; with so few opinions the score can move quickly as more customers weigh in.

Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.
