蓮香居 (旺角店) is a Cantonese and dim sum restaurant in Prince Edward, Yau Tsim Mong, at 九龍弼街41號Sai Yeung Choi Street South生發大廈三樓. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only.

Google lists the opening hours as daily, 06:00–23:30. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2388 6321; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there.

It has a Google rating of 4.2 out of 5 from 281 reviews. Opinions are mixed but broadly steady, and the latest reviews are the best guide to what to expect.

Prince Edward is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Prince Edward is next to the Flower Market and the Yuen Po Street Bird Garden; the flower shops are busiest before Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day.

Food is average and a bit pricy, you come here for the feeling of an old style Hong Kong dim sum teahouse in a comfortable environment.

Above average dim sum. The beef ball is a must try. I left my bag containing selfie cam, umbrella, portable fan and charger in the restaurant and they were very honest and kind to safekeep till I returned to collect. 🙏🏻

Nice place for dim sum. Also good for tea break. Place is very typical Cantonese style. Colored windows bring you that old vibes and place is nice, very well furnished. Service is fast. And quality of food and presentation is very nice. It is located in a very old wonderful Hong Kong style green colored building.

A must visit for the traditional way of yum cha, the interior is spectacular and food is delicious, you don’t need to queue. If you are looking for a nice place to feel the old Hong Kong style yum cha this is the place. You should also combine a visit to the fish street nearby, great experience:)

The Heart of Old Hong Kong! An Unforgettable Dim Sum Feast in Mong Kok ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you want to experience the "real" Hong Kong, skip the hotel buffets and head straight to Lin Heung Kui in Mong Kok. I just had a dim sum session here that I’ll be dreaming about for weeks! Looking at the photos I took, you can see exactly why this place is a gem. The vibrant, bustling atmosphere is electric—it's a sea of round tables, steaming baskets, and the wonderful organized chaos that defines traditional Yum Cha. The Food Highlights: The Classics: Just look at the translucency of the Har Gow skin in the photos—perfectly pleated and packed with plump, fresh shrimp. The Textures: You can practically see the fluffiness of the steamed buns and the rich, golden hue of the Ma Lai Go (sponge cake). It was so light it practically melted! Traditional Carts: I managed to capture the iconic dim sum trolleys. There is nothing quite like the anticipation of the steam clearing as the "dim sum aunties" open the bamboo lids to reveal the treasures inside. The authentic touch of washing your own tea cups in the large bowl and sharing a table with locals makes it feel like you've been invited into a neighbo
