When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. Bakeries usually bake fresh in the morning and late afternoon, and popular items can sell out early.
Opening hours: Mon–Fri 07:00–20:00, Sat–Sun 08:00–17:30. It opens every day of the week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2177 6122. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, maison-kayser.com.hk.
At 4.0 out of 5 on Google (93 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Sheung Wan is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Sheung Wan's Des Voeux Road West and Bonham Strand West are known for dried seafood, ginseng and herbal shops, which are busiest before Lunar New Year.

The atmosphere, food and service here is TOP NOTCH. Probably one of the best cafes in town and really couldn’t ask for more. The cakes are world class and taste like heaven. Would 100% recommend coming here.

Seems to be chain cafe as there are a few elsewhere too. Getting here takes some walking and the road climbs up 💨 The facade looks great with black colour with gold lettering and its quite nice ambience inside. The coffee is soso not really superb. We tried the muffins and they are quite dry and crumbly, maybe we need to heat it??? 🤔 its trifle expensive for a bakery cafe, maybe could have gotten better value elsewhere. 🤔

Everything they have from pastries, cakes, bread, sandwiches to salad are all delicious, healthy and baked/made fresh everyday. Not to mention the very good coffee to pair with. Thanks to Jessa for the top notch and amazing service every time we visit. Highly recommended.

Bad service because of your employees with unhappy faces and terrible attitude for no reason. If you don't like your job so much, then what's the problem with changing it? The price table doesn't indicate the size of the coffee cup, so I was shocked when I received a small cup for $40...$40 for 150 ml of coffee that tastes just so so? Are you kidding me? Guys, there is a Starbucks around the corner where you can buy a big cup of good coffee for $40. I used to like your desserts but I will never come back because of your bad service and rude attitude!

Eric Keyser is a Parisian based bakery that started here in Hong Kong probably 5 years ago. There are now six branches spread around Hong Kong Island including this branch along Wing Lok Street along Sheung Wan. This Eric Keyser is not far from the MTR Station and opens early at 7am on weekdays and 7.30am on weekends. Here you find an expected range of pretty good pastries, breads, muffins, sweet orders as well as a few sandwiches and fruit cups. We stopped two weeks ago and enjoyed a ham & cheese croissant, almond croissant and coffee drinks. The croissants where ok, not bakehouse (Wan Chai) good but good enough for the price paid. Crust was slighly flaky, layers a bit bready and chewy but not bad. Coffee drinks were fine. In the end, not a ton of good bakeries in HK for proper bread and coffees. Eric Keyser is one to look out for if you want something light and are seeking a place that opens early.
