About 明星金閣
明星金閣 is listed under Cantonese & Dim Sum in Sham Shui Po. The address is 九龍深水埗 Tai Po Rd, 地下及2樓. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
Many Hong Kong restaurants add a 10% service charge to the bill, and tipping beyond that is optional. Popular places fill up at lunchtime and on weekend evenings, so book by phone, WhatsApp or a platform such as OpenRice; some set a time limit or a minimum spend. Most offer both dine-in and takeaway, and Octopus, credit cards, FPS and PayMe are widely accepted, though smaller places may take cash only. Dim sum restaurants usually charge a per-person tea fee, and dishes are priced by size; weekend mornings from about 10:00 to lunchtime are the busiest, and many places give out queue tickets. Book wedding and birthday banquets months ahead.
Opening hours: daily, 07:00–22:30. It opens every day of the week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Phone: 2778 8138. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, starseafood.hk.

Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere.

Quite a decent Chinese restaurant. Food pretty standard, a bit too sweet in my opinion. Roasted Chicken was the best among all the dishes. Convenient location.

A restaurant for the locals. Don’t expect 5 star service or 5 star food. Authentic tastes and great location to have a meal and catch up with family. Convenient location and plenty of tables so it’s easy for big families for gatherings.

My first time to this restaurant. It came as a pleasant surprise when first I was not prepared to get a decent meal there. The dim sum dishes and fried rice were all acceptable in taste.

A moderate Cantonese style restaurant. The dimsums are fine there, but no surprise. The price tags are at mid level. Sounds reasonable. The location is in the area for mid-low level population. The decoration and tableware are (a bit more than) fine. However, the services from their waiters/waitresses do not 100% match with their charges. Fine to go, but don't over expect.
