Hong Kong's supermarkets, convenience stores and wet markets each have their role: convenience stores are mostly open 24 hours, supermarkets usually from morning until about 22:00, and wet markets are busiest in the morning and early evening. Since the end of 2022 plastic shopping bags cost HK$1 each, so bring your own; Octopus and e-payments are common, but not every market stall accepts them. Market stalls are freshest in the morning and may cut prices before closing in the evening; bring a bag and small change.
Google lists it as open 24 hours, seven days a week, though arrangements may change in a typhoon or other special circumstances, so call if it matters. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has.
At 3.7 out of 5 on Google (728 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Nice place. Old world charm. Love the vibe here. Brought my daughter here to experience what the world I grew up in. Or similar to this. A real eye opener for her.

The prices are very good for fruits in season and very sweet. It does get very crowded but it has good deals. The location is also convenient, walking distance to plenty of restaurants and street food and also Olympic mall.
