About n.o.t. Specialty Coffee (Hysan Place)
n.o.t. Specialty Coffee (Hysan Place), a café in Causeway Bay, Wan Chai, is at HK Hong Kong Island 9/F, 500 Hennessy Rd, Causeway Bay. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.
When choosing a café or dessert shop, look at whether prices are shown, whether plant milks or less-sweet options are available, and whether there is a time limit on seats. Many open seven days a week, but some small shops take a weekly day off; for cakes or large orders of pastries, calling ahead is the safest bet. If you plan to work or study in a café, check for power sockets and any seating time limit.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 08:00–20:00, Sat 09:30–20:00, Sun 09:30–18:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2151 3822. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, m.facebook.com.
At 3.8 out of 5 on Google (561 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Unfortunately, had a VERY bad experience here. Zero service. The layout here is so cramped! It was super crowded with people constantly pushing past. I had to carry a filled-to-the-brim latte all the way from the front counter to the very back, which felt super dangerous with everyone squeezing by. When I asked for a tray, the staff was so rude and didn't even bother to help. I ordered two drinks, so I literally had to make two trips back and forth by myself. Super bad service—never coming back!

Stopped by for coffee and dessert, and overall it was a pleasant enough experience. The space is probably the biggest draw — high ceilings, big windows, and an open layout make it a nice spot to sit, catch up with friends, and take a break from the Hysan Place chaos. The coffee was alright, though the extra eight dollars for decaf feels a little hard to understand. The tiramisu portion was very generous, but anyone hoping for a more classic, rich version may be disappointed. It leaned more light and eggy with cocoa on top, rather than having the mascarpone, dark rum, or coffee liqueur depth that usually gives tiramisu its character. A nice place for the atmosphere, though the coffee and dessert alone may not be enough to make it memorable.

📍NOT Specialty Coffee, Hysan Place HK$ 138 Pan Fried Slow Cooked Japanese Pork Loin w Roasted Potatoes & Veg HK$ 50 Affogato Came here for lunch. I liked their food, affogato was also good. Located at 9F, go inside the bookstore- there's an exit there; or take the elevator to 9F. View was pretty awesome ngl.

I visited after seeing their coffee featured on Instagram and was excited to give it a try. The location was fairly easy to find — you take a specific elevator up and then an escalator to reach the café. The coffee itself was good, though not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the customer service left much to be desired. The cashier and barista both came across as unfriendly, and while I understand their one-purchase-per-person policy, it wasn’t communicated in a very welcoming way.

We only had dessert here and coffee so I can not comment much on the food. The coffee was just okay. The highlight here is the location, it's on the 9th floor of Hysan place tucked behind eslite book store and it had a nice view.
