Shops in Hong Kong keep long hours, many until 21:00 or 22:00, and mall shops usually open around 10:00. Keep your receipt: returns and exchanges are generally at the shop's own discretion, so ask before you buy, and for electronics check whether the item is a local-warranty model. If a dispute arises, the Consumer Council can advise or take a complaint. Flats in Hong Kong are compact, so measure doors, the lift and the room before buying furniture, and ask about delivery and assembly charges.

Opening hours: daily, 11:00–21:00. It is open seven days a week. Many small businesses close for a few days around Lunar New Year and may shut early or not open during typhoons and black rainstorms, so check the latest news before you set off. Its website is nitori.com.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

My go-to spot for affordable, Japanese-style home goods. I make it a point to visit NITORI every single time I come to Hopewell Mall. The Vibe: The store layout and interior decor feel just like the branches in Japan. It features soft lighting and a spacious environment, creating a highly pleasant shopping experience. I always end up spending quite a bit of time here browsing around. The Kitchenware: I absolutely love their tableware collection! The pieces are very reasonably priced and feature a sleek, minimalist design. On top of the basics, you can often find some really interesting and unique cooking gadgets here. Overall, a fantastic store with a great atmosphere and excellent budget-friendly options!

The entire 3rd floor was Nitori. Selection was pretty well stocked, although compared to the Nitori in Japan the staff was not as knowledgeable, of course. I was looking for frozen food rapid defrosting plate/cutting board and was told they don't carry it. Later I found it on the shelf on my own.

Located on the 5th floor of Hopewell centre, this place is a really good alternative to Ikea. It takes the whole floor on the fifth floor of Hopewell centre and the products are really good and affordable. I prefer many of its products over Ikeas's like its Pan and chairs. Really good place to shop for household items.

I love this place! Nitori's first store in Hong Kong takes up the entire 5/F and features an incredibly diverse and large selection of home goods, furnitures, textiles and more. It makes for a wonderful affordable alternative to IKEA. The key difference is that the style of furniture stocked in Nitori has more of an Asian-esque design, whereas that in IKEA takes on more European influences. Even if you don't get anything it still makes for a fun family visit. The store is very accessible by public transport, and the MTR is only a few minutes away. You can even bring your dog into the store and mall!

I recently visited the NITORI store in Wan Chai, and I was thoroughly impressed! The layout is spacious and inviting, making it easy to browse through the wide range of home furnishings and decor. Most of the goods are made in China, with only a few items produced in Japan. Despite this, the quality is commendable, and there’s a diverse selection to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Overall, NITORI is a fantastic addition to the area for anyone looking to spruce up their home. Highly recommended!
