Perfect Medical (旺角朗豪坊43/F), a beauty and nail salon in Mong Kok, Yau Tsim Mong, is at 九龍旺角上海街朗豪坊商場辦公大樓43樓6室. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. The address puts it on an upper floor of a building (an "upstairs shop", very common in Hong Kong), so note the floor and unit number; lifts can be slow at busy times, and some older buildings only have stairs.

When choosing a stylist or therapist, look at photos of their work and at reviews, and explain clearly what you want on a first visit. Under the Trade Descriptions Ordinance, traders may not use misleading or aggressive practices to sell services; if you meet high-pressure selling, Customs and Excise or the Consumer Council can advise. Nail and beauty treatments take different lengths of time, so say what you want when booking.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 10:00–21:00, Sat 10:00–19:00, Sun 10:00–18:00. It opens every day of the week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2782 0550. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. More information is on its website, psmedical.com.hk.

It has a Google rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 222 reviews, a strong score that points to consistently positive experiences.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.
