Kowloon City is part of the Kowloon City District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Kowloon City is famous for Thai restaurants and grocers, most of them street-level shops, and the nearby Kowloon Walled City Park is good for a stroll.

I really like this exhibition; the staff are friendly. From visuals to sound, everything is vivid and detailed down to the smallest elements. It’s definitely worth experiencing.

Walked all over the Kowloon Walled City Park the afternoon of my first day in Hong Kong, and it was a very pleasant experience. Took an hour to cover all different parts, and each felt a bit unique and different. Plenty of history as well as scenic beauty concentrated in a small area, so definitely worth a visit, plus it's free. You need a free timed ticket for the Yamen building. This area is very small with 6-7 tiny rooms, and they let 15-20 people in at once.

This is a fascinating piece of Hong Kong history. It’s the only original structure left from the old Kowloon Walled City, dating back to 1847 when the area served as a Qing Dynasty military outpost and administrative center. The building has been carefully restored to its Qing era appearance, with grey brick walls, tiled roofs, and a traditional three hall, two courtyard layout. Inside, there’s a small exhibition that tells the story of the Walled City, from its early days as a government office and magistrate’s residence to its later use as a shelter, school, and clinic. Two old cannons at the entrance add to the historical feel, and the displays help bring the history of this once chaotic place to life.
