Red MR (Mong Kok) is listed under nightclubs, karaoke & live music in Mong Kok, Yau Tsim Mong. The address is 九龍旺角砵蘭街文華商場三樓及四樓. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating. Under Hong Kong law, businesses may not sell or supply alcohol to anyone under 18, so bars may ask for ID. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

They claimed that they had a wide variety of Japanese songs but they were barely any J-Pop songs, not even popular ones. Not to mention, the food was so overpriced and there were cockroaches hidden everywhere! It’s so bad.

Quite expensive for what it is. Although happy to pay. Customer service staff are very very rude. Shouting at you to leave when your times up and not helpful at all when it comes to paying. Old lady who took our payment was disgracefully rude and not polite to us at all. I’d recommend going to the hundreds of other karaoke places dotted around.

We were told it would be 265 HKD for 3 hours including bottomless drink and food. we were told to order on the QR code, when I saw that the QR menu had additional pricing I questioned this with a member of staff who assured me to just ignore the pricing and we could order absolutely anything on there for no extra cost in the allotted time. So once the time was up we were shocked to be slapped with a 1900 HKD bill! The staff tried to poorly explain that we had gone over our allowance. I tried to explain that I was clearly told that we could order any food and drink we liked for the stated 265 HKD. He just kept saying he could offer another 3 hours of karaoke as compensation! In the end they had to ring the member of staff who clearly gave me the incorrect information. After a lot of fighting and not backing down, they agreed to charge us the originally stated 265 HKD each but told us to ‘know the rules next time’. I’ve since seen a lot of reviews saying that the price of their bill ended up being way more than advertised. All I can say is, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

Foods are not the best but just okay, not really that bad. I love the fact that a lot of English songs are there and I am happy for it! The room we had is very good, you can adjust the sounds of the karaoke and you can adjust the room temp by yourself. It’s just a bit annoying the staff will just come in while we are singing and it makes the person who is singing at the moment, very uncomfortable and would stop singing too. Hopefully they can just open the door and asked one of the customers to come outside for whatever they need to say and let that person tell the group, cause if the staff comes in to say something, no one can hear anyway.
