Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.

This business does not fit neatly into any of our main categories, which often happens when several kinds of work share one roof or when it offers a service that is rare in the area. The details below come from public sources and from what the business says about itself; contact it directly to confirm what it offers now, what it costs, how to book and whether anything has changed since the details were last updated.

Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Fri 10:30–14:00 and 15:00–19:00, Sat–Sun closed. Note the break in the middle of the day: it opens in two sessions. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 2522 6811; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. More information is on its website, celki.com.

Central is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.
