Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays.

I'm uncertain whether his treatment is truly beneficial, as my condition has shown some improvement but is far from fully resolved. The main issue seems to be his lack of empathy as a doctor. During each appointment, he won't review my progress or address specific concerns. Initially, he assured me that my problem could be cured within a week or two. However, after several visits, when I questioned why the issue persists, he simply responded that I have "some old issues," without making any effort to delve deeper into the matter. Naturally, everyone develops old issues as they age, but his response feels dismissive and uninvolved.

Have been seeing Dr Cheung over 15 years. His aculpucture skill is top notch and he is a very experienced, professional and consistent Chinese doctor. Can't find doctors easily like that these days. Really appreciate! Highly recommend. 🙏👍

It should be reasonable to expect that when one goes to the doctor one should feel taken good care of right? My experience here was average. It could have been better had the main doctor (Cheung) showed more care and attention by listening more to the patient. The interactions felt rushed and it was like if he was just going through the motions. When I told the doctor I had some questions as he was rushing to walk away, he just continued to walk and pointed to one of his assistants to answer me. Where is the genuine attitude of showing care? After all, the whole office has his name all over it and patients expect to connect with him. It would have been nice if I didn’t feel like I needed to harass them for questions and for the staff to be more proactive in telling me further steps to take, such as revisits, self-care, and simply asking “how do you feel after the acupuncture?”. The whole experience felt cold and emotionless. Understandably, there were a handful of other patients being treated at the same time. But please don’t make them feel like a transaction.
