Cheung Sha Wan is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating. It’s very easy to find, with clear signs guiding you all the way from V Walk. The library offers ample seating, and the lighting is soft and glare-free, creating a perfect environment for anyone to enjoy quiet reading. Inside, the space is incredibly spacious. To the right of the main entrance, there is a staircase leading downstairs to the children's library section.

As non Chinese speaker it is great to find such place. And also free of charge. My children love here. They have good clean new English Books. And also Chinese books. The workers are kind and speak English as well. Thank you. It is connected to Nam Chung Station. I got out from A1 exit went upto 2nd floor in a near building and did not have to go throufh any traffic light using baby stroller to get to the library. The children's library is on GF which is accessible from inside the library as well.

Modern, spacious and quiet library. Has computers and large selection of books. Comfortable and air-conditioned. There is a reading room with charging slots and I saw 1 other table with charging ports. That is the only con, would be better to have more charging areas. Wasn't too busy on the weekday.

Quiet spacious, well designed with lots of sitting space for readers. Well lit and with adequate natural light through the big windows. Books are well displayed like bookstore for easy browsing and eye-catching. Books are basically all new, and have a great deal of English books. Bad things is too many security / staff around, felt being spied and monitored by eyes around all the time. Not sure if the library is still that quiet in weekends. And unreasonable carpark next to the library, that charging $38 hourly on the third hour onwards (1st and 2nd $19/hr) totally overcharged.

[ Update in June 2025 : Revisiting after two years ,this library becomes more friendly to laptop users with more desks ,movable or not ,and a dedicated reading room, all with power supply. They even have a large exhibition area where visitors can rest and chat a bit . A perfect spot to spend a few relaxing hours with books ] A modern, spacious reading environment , easily the best one available in the Kowloon area . At their create corner , 2 computers are even equipped with wacom drawing pads. The English books appear to be brand new ,just like the place. With so many display shelves, discovering your next great read is easy.
