Public hospitals in Hong Kong are run by the Hospital Authority, and A&E departments triage patients by urgency, so minor cases can wait a long time; the Hospital Authority website publishes approximate A&E waiting times. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is stpaul.org.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.

Causeway Bay is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Causeway Bay is packed with malls and department stores and is very crowded at weekends; nearby Victoria Park hosts the Lunar New Year fair.

Unfriendly and rude staff, keeps one waiting, very bad discharge process - need to coordinate on different floors without the nurse help. Nurses don't take responsibility, and sends you to another nurse for questions. Has same or higher pricing as other hospitals so would not recommend going here.

Was there for a booster. It is not completely necessary but just try to stay safe for the chronically ill or old people from home. It was quite a systematic way to guide people where to go. First you already made an appointment, you arrived at the time indicated , then we went through the main gate, and directed to take the elevator and up to a certain floor. As far as I remember I think we wore the masks, you know which shot you’re getting and you are provided seats and rooms that you followed as indicated Then when it was your turn you went to your station and got the shot After that you sat down and waited for some time, make sure you didn’t feel any unwell and good to go, then you can take the elevator down to the gate and exit. I remember it was a calm and quiet experience. So far it is a nice hospital. Just there were some years they had reconstruction or building more facilities which could be pretty loud or noisy for quite long period of time

my partner had a throat issue that they concluded was either strep or tonsillitis. they said he could take a test to determine whether it was strep in 1 day and whether he would need antibiotics… but then they contradicted themselves and said it would actually take 3-4 days, which is quite long. when he asked what he should do if it got worse in the meantime, they just told him to go to accident & emergency. we went here as it had a night clinic, but the next day we went to a regular GP who just prescribed antibiotics immediately. we get the impression St. Paul’s just wanted us to pay for an expensive test that ended up being unnecessary. clean and nice hospital with quick and professional staff, but the overall experience was disappointing.

Expensive, rushed, and unnecessary antibiotics that aren’t great for long-term health. I had a disappointing experience at St Paul’s Hospital eye clinic. I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time and was charged over $800, which felt excessive for a consultation that lasted about five minutes. The doctor did not examine my eye and prescribed oral antibiotics for a simple stye. The consultation felt rushed (understandable given the full house waiting outside) and lacked thoughtfulness, with little explanation provided. I later saw another eye doctor in China who examined my eye properly and told me antibiotics were unnecessary. I was instead prescribed eye drops and ointment, which resolved the issue. Total cost was only ¥100. Overall, the care felt rushed, and I am concerned about the routine prescribing of antibiotics without proper examination or consideration of patients’ gut health and long-term wellbeing. Staff are friendly.

The hospital had finished most of the renovation area. The newly finished part was improved and looked more spacious and more lifts installed. Out-patient department was more comfortable. Patients had to queue for preliminary checking at triage station. The charge was a bit low amongst the private hospitals in the island. Canteen was opened for guests.
