The Peak is part of the Central and Western District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. The Peak is reached by the Peak Tram or by bus; its lookouts draw big crowds on holidays.

The view from Stubbs Road Lookout is absolutely stunning and well worth the drive out. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by panoramic vistas that stretched across the valley below. The platform is well-maintained with good safety railings, making it comfortable to lean out and take in the scenery. I spent a good hour just watching the light change over the landscape as the afternoon progressed. There are some benches scattered around, though limited shaded areas mean it's best to visit during cooler parts of the day. The drive to get there is part of the adventure, with winding roads that add to the sense of reaching somewhere special.

Spectacular view! Nice place to experience the harbour view likewise the quality of the Peak. Fewer people at the night time, drive to there and may park for a while.

Stubbs Road, Lookout- The sun rises generally at this season September at about 0550-0610 hours. One can take a taxi to Stubbs Road, Lookout to watch the sunrise. Or, one can go to Adventist Hospital and walk up there. This is a good location for this purpose,1) easy access by walking 1.5 Km from The Adventist Hospital, 2) the environment is safe, 3) It has a very good view of HK island northern waterfront ,centering the views at Wanchai, with views of Causeway Bay and Happy Valley and North Point on the right hand; on the left is Central and Western District and distant view of Tsim Sha Tsui, i.e. the Kowloon Peninsular, at the very farthest views are Lion’s Rock , Fei Ngor Shan, and Tai Mo Shan. In a nut shell ,one has a full command view of the best part of HK and Kowloon. The sun came up from the mountain ridge of Siu Ma Shan. The views of the Rising sun was spectacular which was my case visiting on 20th September with a little bit of clouds and the reflections of big buildings in the quiet morning atmosphere. Because currently not many visiting tourists, it was a very relaxing chance to see HK at dawn and the Sunrise from the mountain ridge at the right. The walk from

A solid 4-star place to checkout the city view from Hong Kong island. If you don’t mind the traffic it’s a nice walk up with all the fancy residency around. I’d actually recommend to take the route 15 here or just take a cab. Worth a while to visit. Day or night.
