About Sow Vegan
Sow Vegan, a vegetarian restaurant in Kwun Tong, is at 九龍觀塘鴻圖道43號鴻達工業大廈1102室. Before heading over it is worth checking the hours, phone number and Google rating below, so the trip is not wasted. This is an upstairs shop: the way in is usually through the building lobby rather than from the street, so check the building name, floor and unit before you go and allow a few minutes for the lift.
When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Some vegetarian restaurants are fully vegan while others use eggs and dairy, so ask if it matters to you.
Google lists the opening hours as Mon–Tue closed, Wed–Sun 19:00–21:30. It is open 5 days a week. It opens on Sunday too, like most places to eat in Hong Kong. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. You can call 9029 3009; a phone call is the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or how to get there. As this is a mobile number, a WhatsApp message may also work. More information is on its website, sowvegan.com.
Customers give it an average of 4.6 out of 5 on Google (40 reviews), a high score by any measure.
Kwun Tong is part of the Kwun Tong District in Kowloon. Kowloon is densely packed: Nathan Road runs north from Tsim Sha Tsui towards Prince Edward, lined along with its side streets by shops, restaurants and upstairs businesses, and most places are a few minutes' walk from an MTR station. Mong Kok's street markets, Sham Shui Po's electronics and fabric streets and Kowloon City's Thai restaurants are familiar landmarks for shopping and eating.

Use freshly veggie from local farms. Even the plates and the bowls are all made in Hong Kong. Surprisingly this private kitchen operates with only two chefs but delivers fine dining grade cuisine. Honestly the price tag for this 8 courses dinner is not user friendly but no regret.

I’d heard about this local vegan spot years ago but never had the chance to try it — until tonight. And wow, the food seriously surprised me (in the best way). All the ingredients are sourced locally, and you can really taste the difference — everything was incredibly fresh! Each dish was beautifully presented with care, and the flavours were thoughtfully blended. As someone who usually eats meat, I found every bite absolutely delicious. The standout dish for me was the mushroom served with rose kombucha and rice. I honestly don’t know what kind of magic they put in it, but it was so good — rich, balanced, and totally satisfying. The space itself is warm and inviting, almost like dining in someone’s cosy living room. The service was friendly and welcoming. Perfect spot to celebrate my husband’s birthday! I can’t wait to come back and try more of their seasonal menus. Whether you're vegetarian or not, I’d highly recommend this spot — it’s a gem ~

We had a lovely dining experience at Sow Vegan. The multi course dinner was overall very satisfying, with some dishes truly amazing us. The service was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere isn't anything special but not detrimental to the experience either. We highly recommend anyone to visit Sow Vegan and we will surely be back ourselves. Editing 6 months later to reflect the chances that have been made to the place. Still a great culinary experience and now with a very pleasant atmosphere

The tasting menu was super creative and tasty! The service is so good and all dishes arrived on time!! They even prepared something special for my birthday 😃 The place is located in an industrial building but the atmosphere once you enter the restaurant is super nice, we were so relaxed there. Thanks a lot for the great experience!!

A lovely vegan private dining experience! The setting was so nice: ambient, minimalistic, and calm. When the servers came, they also explained how they made each dish vegan (ingredients etc.). We sat in a private area behind sliding doors. Everything was so tasty and delicious! I didn’t expect to like the bread so much, and the servers also mentioned their other store (Ovule Bakery) that sells vegan bread. Highly recommend to vegan eaters in Hong Kong to try this for a special occasion. Note: pre-book in advance! And get there early because you have to go up an industrial place and wait for the elevator.
