About 天穴
天穴 is a Japanese or Korean restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui, Yau Tsim Mong, at 304, 3-27 Canton Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
When choosing a restaurant, check whether the menu shows prices and the service charge, whether you need to book, and whether there are vegetarian or children's options. Restaurants must hold a licence from the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, usually displayed inside. Lunar New Year, Mother's Day, Christmas and New Year's Eve are peak booking times, and some restaurants offer set menus or add a surcharge on festive days, so ask ahead. Popular Japanese and Korean restaurants often take online bookings or queue tickets, and omakase counters usually ask for a deposit.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 11:30–22:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2701 9881. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is lubuds.com, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.
At 4.1 out of 5 on Google (500 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Tsim Sha Tsui is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. The Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront has the Avenue of Stars and the Cultural Centre, Star Ferries cross to Central and Wan Chai, and the area is full of hotels, malls and restaurants.

food was pretty good some dishes were far better than others such as the fresh oysters and the crab salad, some weren’t as good but still not bad. The resteraunt’s interior was quite nice and the view at night time is fantastic, definitely on the pricey side but the combination of the view and the food makes it almost worth it.

Apr 2026: Visited with a large group. The restaurant is quite dim, but the window view is beautiful. Budget around $300/person (more if you order uni). There was some confusion with the staff regarding food origins—the menu labels items as "Hokkaido," but the waiter claimed all ingredients were the same. I ordered the “Hokkaido” scallops anyway and felt they were definitely better quality. The biggest downside was the service. When we asked a female server for a photo, she snapped at us with an impatient tone, saying, "Wait, wait! I’ll help you later!" We expected much better hospitality for a Japanese restaurant at this price point. A bit disappointing.

Very fresh ingredients. Variety of menu. Very nice view of Victoria Harbour. Reservation for window seating is recommended.

Some of the most creative, inspiring, fresh and indulging Japanese dishes you'll ever taste in Hong Kong. The amazing view from the restaurant is a bonus. Amazing outdoor patio area. Be prepared to be amazed. Joyce who took care of us is the ultimate professional friendly and excellent service. Highly recommended!
