Rented a Daihatsu copen convertible manual transmission Car was in superb condition, both interior and exterior. Very clean. Tony was excellent and patient at explaining to me the entire process, including how to set up payment for toll, where to find cheaper overnight parking in the city center, etc. It's a pity about the insurance excess, it's a lot and I would have been happy to consider purchasing collision damage waiver but that option is not available. Overall, a great experience and I will be a happy returning customer if I visit again

Vang Iek: one of the best car rental companies you can get in Hong Kong. I’m a registered driver since 1997 and a worldwide car renter. I’m Hertz Gold (US), Sixt Gold (Europe), 1hai Platinum (China) member. I rented 3 times at Vang Iek in the past 4 months so I think I am highly qualified to say something. Vang Iek is a big mobility group with cars rental, distribution, short term leasing, hailing services, etc. They started 80 years ago and are the sole agent and service provide for Mazda Hong Kong and Macau so they are highly qualified for what they are doing. • Price: Vang Iek offers the best value for money for what you can get in the market. Hong Kong is not the best place for car rental. Many small rental companies offer cheaper options but service and car condition are not guaranteed. Avis operates in Hong Kong but their pricing could be 50% higher but they do offer a reduced deductible for extra cost. • Service: their staff is highly professional, know the drill, and someone you can fully trust, particularly when it comes to accidents when you need help the most. • Insurance: they offer HK$100M insurance liability coverage with HK$25000 deductible. Writing Google reviews is usually not my thing but I would like to take this opportunity to thank Vang Iek Rent-A-Car for the exceptional experience we had during our patronage to the shop last month. My husband and I are currently living in Canada and we have not been back to Hong Kong since 2013. After the COVID lockdown we decided to come back to Hong Kong to visit our family and friends. It had been 10 whole years since we last drove a car in Hong Kong and we never had any experience renting a car in the city. Initially we wanted to choose international brands but they were a bit out of our budget thus we seeked alternatives with local car rental companies. Vang Iek car lineup seems to be quite comprehensive and so happened that their location is not far from where we stayed. Still we were a little bit worried since we had never rented a car from a local HK company; luckily our experience with Vang Iek was a very good one. In a nutshell, everything was professional and the entire process was smooth and efficient. Very professional set up. All the way from addressing my pre-rental questions (first time driving in HK) to picking up my car, to addressing my 101 toll fee questions, to car return at airport. The HKeToll ClassTag provided by Vang lek was easy to use and fuss-free. They will install for you on the spot and all you need to do is top up at any 7-11. Car was super clean - when I was at their garage picking up my car, I could see their staff kept cleaning and cleaning the car, inside out. They look very committed in ensuring you’ve a good experience upon picking up the car. Last but not least a big shout out to Vang lek’s professional staff, esp. Tony and Parc. Both were very patient in addressing my questions from pre-reservation to reservation and during rental. Yes, their rates might be slightly higher than their competitors, but you pay for their professional service and well-maintained cars. Will consider them again in my next HK trip!! Edit in Sep 2024: Second rental with Vang Lee. Once again, 5-stars rating for their staff hospitality!! This time, they even implemented the toll-tag which is much more convenient and asset-light!!
