Celebrated my birthday with a first‑ever omakase lunch at Wagyu Kappo ODA, and we opted for the [LUNCH: ALL-DAY] Steak Omakase 9 Course – it exceeded all expectations. The open kitchen allowed us to appreciate the chefs’ artistry up close across all nine courses, while the star ingredient – Kagoshima A4 champion Wagyu – was divine. Each piece was flawlessly cooked, with a melt‑in‑the‑mouth texture and deep, savoury richness that shone through every course. Special praise goes to the manager, Mr. Kurihara Tomoaki, and the chefs, who went above and beyond to make our meal special. Mr. Kurihara’s thoughtful arrangements and the chefs’ engaging explanations added a personal touch that we truly valued. And then came the surprise – a birthday cake with the whole team singing, which left me pleasantly embarrassed but deeply touched. To top it off, Mr. Kurihara walked us to the door and, in Cantonese, wished me a happy birthday again. It’s these little gestures that make all the difference. If you’re looking for an authentic, high‑end omakase in Hong Kong with a memorable 9‑course steak journey, this is the place. Highly recommended.

Found this restaurant on Google, pricing is friendly and it looked great so gave it a try. Was very surprised at the authentic setup and the Japanese chef and staff. Everything was great, we had lunch set and was extremely happy with every dish! Highly recommend

4/5 in overall. Awesome beef and high standard service. The appetisers and rice are so so. The chef grilled the beef tenderloin perfectly. Good for celebration for birthday, and the birthday cake is yummy.
