Hong Kong drives on the left, and visitors can generally drive on a valid overseas licence for up to 12 months; boat trips and ferries may be suspended in bad weather, so keep an eye on Hong Kong Observatory warnings. Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

what a lovely way to commute on a living heritage of this port city. From the age of an infant to the time when we leave this world, this ferry serves generations and generations of Hongkongers that live on both sides of the Victoria Harbour. Visitors and tourists always enjoy the best ride they have in town. Skyscrapers and busy time traffic makes it a joy ride better than those in theme parks, too. The marvelous skyline of the HK Island and the ever changing landscape in the Kowloon side also add to the viewing pleasure of everyone, young and old, local or foreign. that's the true beauty of Hong Kong.

Nice pier with nice view. Went there on a weekday around noon and there were mainly tourists and random people jogging along the promenade. The scenary is quite pleasant, when we add a star ferry into the mix, which enhances the vibes of the pier. A nice visit for tourists and locals when they want to relax.

One of the best views you could ever have on Victoria Harbor. Simply take a ferry ride from TST, Kowloon and get to this side of the habor (Wanchai Pier to be exact). Take a lift or staircase to the roof and you are there. You can easily see people taking video and photos, including wedding couple with their relatives swarming the place. The spot is halfway covered and nicely decorated with plants. The drawbacks, there is no public toilet in the vicinity and it's about a hundred meters from the nearest MTR station (Exhibition Centre).

Taking the ferry is a more affordable option compared to the subway, with a fare of only $5 HKD to reach the Tsim Sha Tsui Kowloon ferry point. In contrast, traveling by subway from Wan Chai would cost $11 HKD. However, it's important to note that the ferry station may not be as well-maintained and up to date as one might expect. Additionally, the ticket counter service is frequently unavailable, requiring passengers to use alternative methods such as the Octopus card or purchasing a coin from a vending machine. Once you have successfully boarded the ferry, you'll embark on a short but enjoyable journey. Moreover, the ferry ride offers a wonderful opportunity to capture stunning photos of the HK skyline across the water. The picturesque views and unique perspective make it a favorite among photography enthusiasts. In conclusion, opting for the ferry not only saves you money but also provides a chance to experience a brief yet nice voyage with scenic photo opportunities. Despite the potential shortcomings of the ferry station, the overall experience can still be quite memorable.

It's a nice place to look through Victoria Harbour. Great place for jogging or even take a walk if you are nearby. It has some exhibition at Christmas time which is a good demonstration of what the public area can do. Also it's convenient to travel Tsim Sha Tsui as the ferry takes only about 10 minutes crossing the harbour. Recommend travellers to try the ferry if you have time.
