About 灣仔公園
灣仔公園 is a park or outdoor spot in Wan Chai, at 香港島灣仔普樂里. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.
Parks, beaches and heritage sites are busiest on holiday afternoons, so go on a weekday or early in the morning for some quiet. Beaches run by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department have lifeguards during the swimming season, and you should not swim when they are off duty; some historic buildings are private or only partly open, so check visiting hours first. In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 06:00–23:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2879 5520. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first.
At 3.9 out of 5 on Google (792 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

This lovely small park offers a tranquil escape from Hong Kong's busy, noisy environment. Kudos to Hong Kong for developing such an excellent refuge! P.S. The toy boat was a true delight.

"I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree." The banyan tree at the heart of this park is incredible. Kudos to the parks department for taking great care of and cultivating it for all the years it needed.

🌳 Review: Wan Chai Park – A Modest Green Retreat in the Heart of the City Wan Chai Park offers a small but welcome pocket of green in the bustling district of Wan Chai, one of the most fast-paced and densely built-up areas of Hong Kong. While it may not be expansive or packed with features, it provides a much-needed breath of fresh air amid the surrounding concrete and traffic. 🌿 A Quiet Escape – But Not Without Its Limits The park isn’t particularly large—just enough space to stretch your legs, take a quick walk, or sit down for a few minutes away from the crowds and noise. It’s a functional, modest space that serves its purpose well: a brief pause in the urban rush. However, seating is quite limited, which can be frustrating if you’re hoping to stay a while. Benches are sparse, and during busy hours, it’s not uncommon to find all of them taken. Shade is another issue—tree cover is minimal, and much of the park is exposed to direct sunlight, making it less comfortable to linger during hot or sunny days. 🧘 Who It’s Good For • Office workers needing a quick mental reset • Locals looking for a moment of quiet • Visitors wanting a glimpse of local neighborhood rhythm Just don’t
