灣仔街市 is listed under wet markets & grocers in Wan Chai. The address is 香港島灣仔皇后大道東258號. Below you will find what people usually look up before a visit: the exact location, contact details, opening hours and the Google rating.
Hong Kong's supermarkets, convenience stores and wet markets each have their role: convenience stores are mostly open 24 hours, supermarkets usually from morning until about 22:00, and wet markets are busiest in the morning and early evening. Since the end of 2022 plastic shopping bags cost HK$1 each, so bring your own; Octopus and e-payments are common, but not every market stall accepts them. Market stalls are freshest in the morning and may cut prices before closing in the evening; bring a bag and small change.
Google lists the opening hours as daily, 08:00–20:00. It is open seven days a week. Arrangements may differ on public holidays, over Lunar New Year and when a typhoon signal No. 8 or above or a black rainstorm warning is in force, so call before making a special trip. Phone: 2575 0192. Hong Kong numbers have eight digits; from abroad, dial +852 first. Its website is fehd.gov.hk, which may show prices, details of what it offers or online booking.
At 3.9 out of 5 on Google (3,939 reviews), it sits mid-table; the written reviews say more about service, prices and waiting times than the number does.
Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The north shore of Hong Kong Island is one of the densest business areas in the city: the MTR Island Line runs from Kennedy Town to Chai Wan, the trams ("ding dings") between Kennedy Town and Shau Kei Wan, and many businesses trade from upper floors of office blocks and older tenement buildings. The south side is known for beaches, trails and fishing harbours such as Repulse Bay, Stanley and the Aberdeen typhoon shelter, which get busy at weekends and on public holidays. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

Not much to see as a tourist. Small market for fresh meat, fish and veg

Small family businesses are alive and well as the sights and sounds suggest. While the actual market already boasts a considerably varied range of produce by day, wander out on the surrounding streets to find anything from butcher’s and noodle-maker’s to traditional clothes and toys too. As Christmas approaches, more and more along the streets will be decked out in Yuletide decor. As much as you will find hints of Western culture in the air, make no mistake: local businesses cater to the local community with a taste for both tradition and modernity. This is one of the constants that endear Hongkong to me — despite 200 years of globalisation under British rule, you can still find true pockets of heritage, not behind glass cases but laid out in the open for all to see.

Great seafood and more market with beautiful displays of food and good prices and quality. A spectacular display of food and hence also a nice place to simply stroll around in.

Very good experience at Wan Chai Market! The place is clean and well-organized, making it easy to find everything I needed. The selection of fresh produce was impressive, I particularly appreciated the variety of products available. Overall, it’s a great place for quality groceries at reasonable prices!

Wanchai market is one of the best wet markets that I have been to in the entire world. Produce is fresh, especially before noon time. There is live seafood, live chicken, imported fruit, local vegetables, barbecued meat, Indonesian and Philippine shops, discount stores, fresh flowers and plants and much more. You will love to just roam around and look. Most items have fixed price so no bargaining. Most stalls only take cash, no octopus or credit cards.
