About 旺記臘味海味

旺記臘味海味 is a dried seafood and herbal goods shop in Sham Shui Po, at 九龍深水埗基隆街238號. Locals and visitors alike tend to check the same things before going, so this page brings together the practical details: where it is, how to get in touch, when it is open and how customers rate it.

At wet-market stalls meat, seafood and vegetables are often priced by the catty (斤) or tael (兩), and prices move with the season and the weather, while supermarkets mostly sell pre-packed, price-labelled goods. Alcohol may only be sold to people aged 18 or over, so you may be asked for ID. The days before Lunar New Year are the busiest of the year for markets and dried-seafood shops, and many stalls close for the first few days of the new year. When buying dried seafood or herbal goods, check the origin, grade and price per catty or tael, and ask for a receipt.

No opening hours have been published here yet; the Google Maps link on this page shows the latest details. Bear in mind that many small shops close over Lunar New Year and may not open while a typhoon or black rainstorm warning is in force. No phone number is listed, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best starting point for directions and any contact details Google has.

Customers give it an average of 4.5 out of 5 on Google (10 reviews), a high score by any measure.

Sham Shui Po is part of the Sham Shui Po District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Sham Shui Po is known for the electronics and second-hand stalls of Apliu Street and the fabric and button shops around Ki Lung Street and Yu Chau Street, where many older shops still prefer cash.

Have been patronising since 2016 for their dried goods every single time I am in HK. Reasonably priced.

Avis Peng a year ago

They have a wide variety of 腊味 products. Reasonable price and good products.

The quality of lap cheong and goose liver sausages were good. Managed to buy some huge “fresh” oysters (actually dried), these would taste great with light pan frying. Prices were reasonable.

They deserved to be mentioned more. 街坊店, and not the touristic brand. Quality sausages and at economic price. The friendly and sincere shop attendants were definitely an added bonus. There are so much more to see in Sham Shui Po. Not just the famous Man Kee Cart noodles. After your noodles, do look around at other streets and shops in Sham Shui Po. This is the Hong Kong you will be charmed.

I only buy Chinese sausages here whenever I'm in Hong Kong
