In summer, avoid hiking at midday, carry plenty of water and take extra care when the Very Hot Weather Warning is in force.

Mong Kok is part of the Yau Tsim Mong District in Kowloon. Around Kwun Tong and Kowloon Bay many industrial buildings now house offices, restaurants, gyms and studios, while Kai Tak is a newer district. Kowloon's streets are busiest in the evening and at weekends, shops keep long hours with many open until about 22:00, and the Kwun Tong, Tsuen Wan and Tuen Ma lines plus buses and minibuses reach almost everywhere. Mong Kok is one of Hong Kong's busiest shopping districts: Tung Choi Street (the Ladies' Market) and Fa Yuen Street (Sneakers Street) are lined with small shops, and the buildings along Nathan Road hold countless upstairs shops.

Cute little park in the centre of the city. Kids loved to play and hang out here. Has a public bathroom. Did not smell the greatest and there was a homeless person sleeping on the seats. Seniors were exercising here. Overall, great to have than not!

Sai Yee Street Garden @ Mongkok – A Peaceful Pocket in the Buzzing City 🌿🏙️ One of the fun surprises in bustling Mongkok is Sai Yee Street Garden—a small, peaceful park tucked right in the middle of the city. Out of the noise and crowds, you’ll find a quiet space where children laugh and play at the playground, and elderly folks stroll or relax under the shade. There’s also a clean public toilet nearby, making it a convenient rest stop. It’s a lovely reminder that even in the busiest places, you can find moments of calm and community.
