About 西園
Located on Cheung Chau, Hong Kong, Saiyuen is a sanctuary for urban dwellers to reconnect with nature and each other. We are a Home Affairs Department licensed guesthouse (holiday camp), occupying an area of nearly 500,000 square feet (~11 acres). We offer a variety of activities for all ages and are known for our safety and comfort, 24-hour onsite security and 38 different styles of tents, all equipped with air conditioning and heating. I always enjoy going to Cheung Chau as there are varieties of food and sightseeing spots where you can enjoy a full day there. Sai Yuen offers a good accommodation with many activities for kids if you want spend more time exploring Cheung Chau.

I have visited and stayed in this property four times already and everytime it feels very relaxing. My kids also love the place. Staffs are friendly and super helpful. In my recent visit couple days ago, we used their BYOT service. And the matress I had brought from home got punctured at around 11.30 pm at night. I called them for help and they opened up their closed shop and gave me a mattress even though it was almost midnight. I will definitely visit them again.😁

The room was rather hot despite the air con being on full blast, and the bed was broken. To be honest, the other amenities weren't half bad, and the staff is pretty nice...but for this price I'd expect the environment to be a lot better. The location is rather far from the harbour as well. Unless you are a huge fan of nature and hikes, save your money for something better.

Island camping away from busy streets. The town is about 20min walking distance, you can also take a boat from outside the campsite which brings you to the main ferry pier. The campsite is very clean which also applies to the showers and toilets. There are also hair dryer at one of the shower areas. The tents are comfortable with aircon and mosquito net at the windows and entrance which keeps all insects outside if kept closed. There are different activities available, some for extra charge and some games are for free. There is also enough space to play own outdoor games. A beach is outside the campsite a few walking minutes away.
