Wan Chai is part of the Wan Chai District on Hong Kong Island. The island is steep, with many streets climbing the hillside; the Central–Mid-Levels escalator links Central with the Mid-Levels and the Peak Tram runs up to The Peak. Offices, malls and old neighbourhood shops sit side by side, restaurants are packed at the office lunch hour (roughly 13:00–14:00), and with parking scarce the MTR, tram or bus is usually easier than driving. Wan Chai mixes the office towers around the Convention and Exhibition Centre with old markets and tenement buildings, and nearby restaurants get busy during big trade fairs.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong for seven nights, and it was an exceptional experience from beginning to end. Every member of the team—from the front desk, reception, concierge, to housekeeping—demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and genuine hospitality. Everyone was attentive to my needs and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, modern, and beautifully maintained throughout my stay. It provided the perfect place to relax after a full day of exploring Hong Kong. What truly made my trip unforgettable was the outstanding concierge service, especially from Marvin Wong. I arrived in Hong Kong with very little planning and wasn’t sure where to visit or which restaurants to try. Each morning, I would seek Marvin’s recommendations, and every suggestion exceeded my expectations. His local knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and genuine enthusiasm transformed what could have been an ordinary trip into an amazing and memorable experience. From sightseeing attractions to exceptional dining spots, every recommendation was spot-on. Marvin’s dedi

It's our first time staying at Grand Hyatt, and we got to experience cocktail hour at the Grand Club. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was exceptional. Shoutout to Hollis, Tom, Mary, Maggie, and Wester for taking such great care of us. A special thanks to Mary—she was incredibly attentive, approachable, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Her attention to detail made our experience even more memorable. We'll definitely be back!

Great hotel and great location. Stayed here for a week and really enjoyed their service. The rooms with the view of the ocean are just amazing and I had a curved room so had such a great panoramic view of the Kowloon island. The food here is also very good, country the truffle fries and risotto in their room service. There are a lot of vegetarian options. They also have a baby stroller

Most beautiful accomodations I've ever had. Loved our post cruise stay here. We had harbor view room....spectacular view. very modern comfortable gorgeous room. Electric window blinds and at tub area. Every detail and lighting etc so well thought out. Club access food and setting also wonderful. Great view. Staff is very accommodating and helpful. One star off as location did not offer much that is walkable nearby and no shops in the hotel. Ferry convenient. I'd definitely stay again. There are 12 restaurants and a pool.
