香港科技專上書院是一所多元化及非牟利專上學府，以積極開拓學生國際視野，發掘他們多方面潛能為辦學宗旨。本校更為第一所提供獲專業及學術認可的全日制及兼讀制海外學士課程院校。至今已開辦多個通過香港學術及職業資歷評審局(HKCAAVQ)評審之自資專上課程，包括: 毅進課程、副學士課程、海外學士、碩士及博士課程。學生可從文、理、商三個主要學術範疇超過二十多個學習領域自選合適進修方向。
